Maison Le Fame in Shanghai JC Plaza is a jewelry box brought forth by the Lefame Fashion Company.
The jewelry box is enveloped in layers of red.
A crimson narrow strip mosaic creates a winding and undulating wall, extending from the exterior of the store to the cashier area deep within the space. The raised floor and lowered ceiling are made of smoky pink cement material, resembling the cornice and base of classical facades, with decorative reliefs adorning the frieze. They imbue a sense of ceremony to the entrance area: the displayed mannequins seem to come to life, resembling the elegant and dignified columns of the Temple of Erechtheion, as well as seductive sirens emerging gracefully from behind thick curtains.

包裹这个珠宝盒的是层层叠叠的红色。
绯色窄条釉面马赛克铺出了一条蜿蜒起伏的墙面,从店外延伸到空间深处的收银台区域。升起的地面和下降的天花是烟粉色的水泥材质,像古典立面的额枋和基础,横饰带上卷着装饰的浮雕。它们将一种仪式感赋予了入口区域:陈列于此的人台仿佛被赋予了生命,她们既像厄瑞克忒翁神庙典雅庄重的女神柱,也像拉开厚厚的帘幕款款而出的蛇蝎美人。
A band adorned with patterns of crimson marble encloses the remaining space. In front of the glass curtain wall, this band is made of glass material with printed dot patterns, while in front of the concrete walls and large red lacquered pillars, the band features patterns screen-printed on simple wooden boards. The grand and elaborate patterns of the marble contrast with the simplicity of the materials and the method of production, creating a playful tension. In his book “À rebours,” which was famously described by Oscar Wilde as “overflowing with venom,” Huysmans, through the voice of his protagonist, said, “Artificial imitation is the unique standard of human talent,” and thus, “There is no strange rock or cliff that cannot be realistically assembled with cardboard; no flower that cannot be matched by special silk and marvelous colored paper!”
一条印着绛红大理石花纹的饰带围合起剩余的空间。在玻璃幕墙前这条饰带是玻璃材质,上面印花网点纸;在混凝土墙和大红色烤漆柱子前面这条饰带则是将图案丝网印刷在简单的木工板上。大理石汹涌而华丽的花纹与简单的材料以及制作方式之间形成了充满戏谑的张力。于斯曼曾在他那本被王尔德评论为“毒液四溢”的《逆流》中借主人公之口说,“人为的仿造是人类才华的独特标准”,所以“没有任何一片怪石巉岩,不能用硬纸板来逼真地拼凑;没有任何一朵鲜花,不能由特殊的绸缎和奇妙的彩色纸来与之媲美!”
Unveiling the layers of red reveals a dim and mysterious zone. The terrazzo floor, embedded with dark green stones, emits scattered glimmers in the black cement, reflecting upon the nearly black emerald-green wooden ceiling. Within the triangular grid, some lightboxes are arranged in a scattered manner, extending onto the walls of the jewelry area. Deep green marble and mirrors intersect and cut into each other, creating a dazzling interplay with the pearls and gemstones adorning the crowns and tasseled pouches.
In the center lies the jewelry box crafted from glass, velvet, mirrors, ceramics, and brass. Its lines are restrained, following clear and rational functional divisions, yet it exudes a magnificent and enchanting atmosphere. The transparent space enclosed by two golden moon-shaped doors is said to be reserved for the skilled artisans of Lefame Fashion Company.
拨开层层叠叠的红色,是暗哑而神秘的地带。水磨石地面中墨绿色的石子在黑色的水泥中散发着星星点点的幽光,映照着近乎黑色的苍绿色木镶板搭成的天花,三角形的网格中错落地排列着一些灯箱,延伸到首饰区的墙面上,深绿色大理石和镜面交叠,互相切割,与冠冕和流苏小包上那些珍珠和宝石交相辉映。
而最中央的部分则是那个玻璃、丝绒、镜子、陶瓷和黄铜镶嵌出来的珠宝盒。它的线条是克制的,跟随着清晰而理性的功能分区,展现出的却是华丽和旖旎的氛围。两道金色月亮门围合出来的透明空间,据拉飞姆时装公司说,是要留给她们的手工艺匠人。
If we believe that “decoration is a sin,” then Maison Lefame is the flower of evil exuding a dangerous aura in the bustling metropolis. However, Voltaire once said, “Excess is necessary.” Without those hazy, exquisite, delicate, sharp, vibrant yet dim… elements, what else can our lives hold onto?
如果我们相信“装饰就是罪恶”,Maison Lefame就是物欲横流的魔都闹市中散发着危险气息的恶之花。但伏尔泰也曾说,“多余的才是必要的”,没有那些朦胧的、精致的、纤细的、尖锐的、鲜艳而黯淡的……一切,我们的生活还能留下什么?
